The Kawasaki FD611V is a 0.59 l (585 cc, 35.7 cubic inches) V-twin 90 deg liquid-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline motor with vertical shaft, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications. The FD611V has OHV (overhead valve); cast-iron cylinder liners; horizontal draft type carburetor with fixed main jet; diaphragm type mechanical fuel pump; full transistor ignition system with fixed timing; mechanical governor and low tone muffler. The Kawasaki FD611V uses a full pressure lubrication system with spin-on oil filter and dual element air cleaner. The engine was equipped with solenoid shift-type electric starter and 12V-17A charging coil with a regulator. The engine has a maximum power of 20.3 PS (14.9 KW; 20.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm and 42.8 Nm (4.4 kgm; 31.6 ft-lb) at 2,200 rpm of max torque. Bore and stroke are 74 mm (2.91 in) and 68 mm (2.68 in). Compression ratio rating is 9.0:1.
