The Kawasaki FX541V is a 0.6 l (603 cc, 36.8 cubic inches) V-twin 90 deg air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with vertical shaft, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications, commercial mowers, heavy-duty industrial and construction equipment. The Kawasaki FX541V has V-twin design with vertical PTO shaft. The engine is equipped with overhead V-valves; spherical combustion chamber; cast-iron cylinder liners; metal engine cover with integrated cleanout ports; rotating grass chopper screen. The engine is equipped with electronic spark ignition and internally vented carburetor with fuel shut-off solenoid. The engine is equipped with a high-performance lubrication system and single or multi-stage canister air filter. The engine has an automatic compression release (ACR) system with recoil or heavy-duty shift-type starter. 13A or 20A charge coils, muffler, oil pressure switches, and shaft variations are available as an option. Bore and stroke are 73.0 mm (2.87 in) and 72.0 mm (2.83 in). Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The engine has a maximum power of 15.4 PS (11.3 KW; 15.1 HP) at 3,600 rpm or 16.7 PS (12.3 KW; 16.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 39.1 Nm (4.0 kgm; 28.9 ft-lb) at 2,200 rpm or 43.4 Nm (4.4 kgm; 32.0 ft-lb) at 2,000 rpm of max torque.
