Valve timing is incorrect - Use correct valve timing adjustment.

Engine stalls after starting |
Fuel filter plugged - Clean the filter or install new filter element.

Improper setting of fuel injection pump timing - Adjust as recommended.

Stuck or clogged injection nozzle - Clean or replace injection nozzles.
Engine stops while idling |
Wrong adjustment of low idle speed - Adjust low idle speed.

Damaged fuel injection pump - Repair or replace injection pump.
Poor engine power |
Defective injection nozzle - Check injection nozzles and replace if required.
Clogged fuel lines or hoses - Clean fuel hoses and lines.
Clogged air filter element - Clean or change.
Blown cylinder head gasket - Install new cylinder head gasket.
Incorrect injection timing - Adjust as recommended.
Faulty fuel injection pump - Replace injection pump or repair it.
Any of moving engine parts is worn - Repair or replace defective parts.
Engine overheating |
Dirty radiator fins or faulty radiator cap - Clean radiator or change cap.
Coolant level is low - Add coolant fluid and inspect the cooling system for leaks.
Fan belt is worn or faulty - If necessary, replace the belt.
Insufficient engine oil - Fill up the oil to required level.
Cylinder head gasket is blown - Replace cylinder head gasket.
Injection timing is improper - Set the injection timing correctly.
Low oil pressure |

Engine knocks or noises |
Engine is not preheated - Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.

Timing of fuel injection pump is incorrect - Set it up as required.
Worn or broken pistons - Have pistons replaced.
Connecting rod is misaligned or worn - Need to replace or align the connecting rod.
Starter cranks slowly |
Battery power is low - Recharge the battery.
Battery will not hold charge - Service battery or change it.
Disconnected wires or corroded battery terminals - Check cables and service or change terminals.
Starter doesn't crank |
Battery is low or faulty - Change or recharge battery.
Battery wires are disconnected or incorrectly connected - Check wires and connect correctly.
Low battery capacity - Recharge the battery.
Starter motor is faulty - Repair or replace starter.
