Suzuki DF6AS Troubleshooting
The Suzuki DF6AS is a 4-stroke 1-cylinder OHV (overhead valve) gasoline short shaft outboard engine with a rated power of 6 hp (4.4 kW) at 4750-5750 rpm. The engine cylinder bore is 2.38" (60.4 mm) and piston stroke is 1.89" (48 mm). A 8.42 cubic inches (138 cc) outboard motor has a lubrication with trochoid pump, carburetor fuel system, mechanical fuel pump type, starting system with manual start, digital capacitor discharge ignition system, manual tilt and tiller handle steering. The fuel tank capacity is 0.3 gal (1 liters). The propeller is made of aluminum and it has three blades.

Valve timing is wrong - Set the valve timing properly.

Broken or bad valve springs - New valve springs need to be installed.
Valves are stuck - Clean the valves.
