Toyota 1NZ-FXE is a 1.5 L (1,497 cc, 91.35 cubic inches) hybrid straight-four 4-stroke naturally aspirated gasoline engine from Toyota NZ-family. The 1NZ-FXE engine features a lightweight aluminum block and aluminum cylinder head with two overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder (16 in total). Toyota described the 1NZ-FXE engine as having an “Atkinson cycle” since the compression stroke is shortened and the expansion stroke longer.
