Toyota 7M-GTE Engine Specifications
The Toyota 7MGTE is a 3.0 L (2,954 cc, 180.26 cubic inches)
straight-six, four-stroke cycle turbocharged gasoline engine from the
Toyota M-family. The engine was manufactured by the Toyota Motor
Corporation from 1986 to 1992. The Toyota 7M-GTE was top performance
engine until it was replaced by the 1JZ-GTE.
The engine features a cast-iron block, aluminum cylinder
head with dual belt-driven overhead camshafts and four valves per
cylinder (24 in total). The 7MGTE is equipped with an electronic
fuel injection system and a turbocharger with 5 psi (0.34 bar). It has
an 83.0 mm (3.27 in) cylinder bore and 91.0 mm (3.58 in) piston stroke.
Compression ratio rating is 8.4:1.
The 7M-GTE engine produced 235 PS (173 kW; 232 HP) at 5,600 rpm of
maximum horsepower and 344 Nm (35.1 kgm, 253.5 ft-lb) at 4,000 rpm of
peak torque.
