Craftsman DYS 4500 Troubleshooting

The Craftsman DYS 4500 lawn tractor was manufactured by AYP built from 2006 to 2008. The Craftsman DYS4500 is powered by 44.2 cu.in (724 cc) Briggs and Stratton 4-cycle V-twin cylinder OHV air-cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of 24 hp (17.8 kW), or 44 cu.in (725 cc) Kohler Courage SV735 4-cycle V-twin cylinder OHV air-cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of 26 hp (19.4 kW).

The Craftsman DYS 4500 tractor is fitted with two transmission options: belt-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears, and belt-driven gear transmission with 6 forward and 1 gears.

The maximum travel speed (forward and reverse): 5.5 mph (8.8 km/h) / 2.4 mph (3.9 km/h). The Craftsman DYS 4500 was equipped with a sector and pinion type steering, mechanical disc brakes, 15x6.00-6 front tires, and 20x10.00-8 or 18x9.50-8 rear tires. Compatible attachments for the lawn tractor: 42" and 46" mid-mount 2-blade mower decks with cutting height of 1.5-4.0 in (37-100 mm), or 54" mid-mount 3-blade mower deck with manual lift system.
