International Harvester 706
The
International Harvester 706 standard-tread tractor was manufactured from 1963 to
1967. The IH 706 tractor is equipped with International Harvester D282 4-cycle
six-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel engine with a rated power of 80.5 hp
(59.6 kW), or International Harvester C263 4-stroke six-cylinder gasoline engine
with a rated power of 80 hp (59.3 kW).
The IH 706 is fitted with a 8x4 sliding gear transmission or 16x8
two-speed powershift 16x8 transmission. The maximum forward speed - 17.8
mph (28.6 km/h), a max. reverse speed - 8.8 mph (14.1 km/h).
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with fluid flow
rate of 12 gal/min (45.4 l/min). The hydraulic system capacity is 17
gallons (64.3 liters). The 4WD models are equipped with 11.2x24 front
tyres and 18.4x30 rear tyres. The 7.50x18 front tyres and 18.4x30 rear
tyres fit 2WD tractors. The wheel base is 87.5 in (2220 mm) for models
with two-wheel drive and 87 in (2200 mm) for models with four-wheel
drive.
