International Harvester 744
The
International Harvester 744 is a 2WD or 4WD farm tractor. This model was
manufactured between 1974 and 1980. The IH 744 tractor is equipped with an
International Harvester D-239 four-stroke 4-cylinder direct injection
liquid-cooled diesel engine rated at 70 hp (52.2 kW). The max. torque is 230 Nm (170.4 lb-ft) at 1200 rpm.
The transmission consists of 11 inches dry disc clutch and gearbox with
an eight forward and four reverse gears. Max. forward speed - 18.6 mph
(29.9 kph), maximum reverse speed - 10.8 mph (17.3 kph).
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with fluid flow
rate of 7.9 gpm (30 lpm). The hydraulic pressure is 2450 psi (167 bar).
The 2WD
models are equipped with 7.50x18 front tyres and 16.9x34 rear tyres. The
11.2x24 front tyres and 16.9x34 rear tyres fit 4WD tractors. The
wheelbase is 87.8 inches (2230 mm) for 4x2 models and 86.6 inches (2190
mm) for 4x4 models.
