The
John Deere S240 is a 2-wheel drive lawn tractor from S200 series. This model was
manufactured from 2015 to 2025. The John Deere S240 tractor can be powered by
the following engines: Kawasaki FS600V 4-cycle V-twin cylinder OHV air-cooled
gasoline engine with a rated power of 18.5 Hp (13.8 kW) or Kawasaki FR651V
4-cycle single cylinder OHV air-cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of
21.5 Hp (16 kW).
This model is fitted with a hydro transmission with infinite forward and
reverse gears. The John Deere S240 is equipped with a manual steering,
electric PTO clutch, wet disc brakes, 15x6.00-6 front tires, and
20x10.00-8 rear tires. The operating weight is 520 lbs (236 kg). The
John Deere S240 tractor is compatible with the following attachments:
42" or 48" mid-mount mower deck with a mechanical lift system, 44"
front-mount 1-stage snow blower, and 46" front blade.
