Wheel Horse D250 Garden Tractor
The
Wheel Horse D250 is a D-series garden tractor. This model was manufactured by
Gutbrod built from 1976 to 1981. The Wheel Horse D250 driveline consists of a
52.1 cu.in (853 cc) Renault 800-01 4-cycle 4-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline
engine and Gutbrod mechanical transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears.
The engine has a cylinder bore of 2.29" (58 mm), piston stroke of 3.16"
(80 mm), and maximum power of 19.9 hp (14.8 kW). Max. travel speed
(forward/reverse): 10.6 mph (17.1 km/h) and 3.6 mph (5.8 km/h).
The Wheel Horse D250 was equipped with a manual steering system,
mechanical drum brakes, 18x8.50-8 front tires, and 26x12.00-12 rear
tires. The wheel base is 55" (1390 mm). The garden tractor is compatible
with a 60" mid-mount 3-blade mower deck with cutting height of 1.5-4.0"
(38-102 mm) and mechanical lift system, 48" front-mount snowblower, and
59" front-mount blade.
