Craftsman YS 4500 Lawn Tractor
The
Craftsman YS 4500 lawn tractor was manufactured from 2006 to 2008. The Craftsman
YS4500 tractor is powered by Briggs and Stratton 331877 Intek single cylinder
gasoline engine with a rated power of 21 Hp (15.3 kW), Briggs and Stratton
441777 V-twin cylinder gasoline engine with a rated power of 22 Hp (16.2 kW),
Briggs and Stratton 31P977 single cylinder gasoline engine with a rated power of
20 Hp (14.9 kW), or Kohler Courage SV600 single cylinder gasoline engine with a
rated power of 20 Hp (14.9 kW).
The Craftsman YS 4500 is fitted with three types of transmission. Type
1: Dana D6800 mechanical transmission with 6 forward and 1 reverse
gears. Type 2: Tuff Torq K46 belt-driven hydrostatic transmission with
foot-controlled variable speed drive. Type 3: Hydro Gear 351-0510
hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears. The
maximum forward speed - 5.5 mph (8.8 km/h), max. reverse speed - 2.4 mph
(3.9 km/h).
The Craftsman YS4500 was equipped with a sector and pinion type
steering, disc brakes, 15x6.00-6 front tires, and 20x8.00-8 or 18x9.50-8
rear tires. The tractor is compatible with 42" or 46" mid-mount 2-blade
mower decks with cutting height of 1.0-4.0 in (25-100 mm), six cut
positions, and mechanical lifting system.
