Cat 450E Backhoe Loader
The
Caterpillar 450E is a 4WD (4x4) backhoe loader. This model was manufactured from
2007 to 2017. The Cat 450E powerline system components: a 268 cu.in (4.4 L)
Caterpillar C4.4 four-cylinder direct injection turbocharged diesel engine with
a maximum power of 137 hp (102 kW), and 5x3 Auto Shift transmission with
single-stage torque converter.
The maximum travel speed (forward and reverse): 24.9 mph (40.1 km/h) /
17 mph (27.3 km/h). The closed center load sensing hydraulic system used
a secondary gear pump with a flow of 51.3 gal/min (194 l/min). The
hydraulic system pressure is 245 bar (3550 psi) for loader and 262 bar
(3800 psi) for backhoe. The Caterpillar 450E is equipped with 15x19.5
front tyres and 21L-24R4 rear tyres. The wheelbase is 87" (2200 mm).
The loader has a maximum lift height of 11 ft 5 in (3486 mm) at pin and
clearance with bucket dumped of 8 ft 8 in (2647 mm). The lift capacity
is rated at 8439 lbs (3828 kg) lbs to max height, and bucket's breakout
force is 11746 lbs (5340 kg). The 96 in (2430 mm) standard material
bucket has a nominal heaped capacity of 38.2 cu.ft (1.09 m3).
The backhoe (extendable stick) work ranges consist of a bucket digging
force of 17760 lbs (8073 kg), and dipperstick digging force of 8992 lbs
(4087 kg). The maximum digging depth is 21 ft 4 in (6500 mm), and reach
from swing pivot is 25 ft 10 in (7884 mm) at ground level. The backhoe
is compatible with 18" (455 mm), 24" (605 mm), 30" (760 mm), and 36"
(910 mm) buckets.
