Ford 555B Backhoe Loader
The
Ford 555B backhoe loader was manufactured between 1985 and 1988. The components
of Ford 555B driveline system: a 201 cubic inches 4-cycle three-cylinder
liquid-cooled diesel engine, and 4-speed transmission with torque converter.
The engine power is 63 Hp (47 kW), and a maximum torque is 228.5 Nm
(168.5 lb-ft) at 1400 rev/min. The maximum forward speed - 17.1 mph
(27.5 km/h), a maximum reverse speed - 16.9 mph (27.2 km/h). The open
center hydraulic system used a gear pump with flow of 28.5 gpm (108
lpm).
The hydraulic system pressure is 160 bar (2450 psi). The 4WD models are
equipped with 10.5x18 front tyres and 16.9x28 rear tyres. The 11Lx16
front tyres and 16.9x24 rear tyres are fitted for 2WD models.
The front end loader has a lifting capacity (at pin) of 5250 lb (2380
kg) to a maximum height of 129 inches (3270 mm), and breakout force
(bucket on ground) of 11850 lb (5375 kg). The bucket dump clearance with
a 55-degree maximum dump angle is 109 inches (2760 mm). The estimated
cycle times are 4.3 seconds lifting to full height, and 1.6 seconds full
bucket dumping. The general purpose bucket has a width of 84 inches
(2130mm), and heaped capacity of 1.0 cu.yd (0.80 cu.m).
The Ford 765 backhoe has a max dig depth of 173 inches (4390 mm), 2-ft
flat digging depth 171 inches (4340 mm), and 8-ft flat digging depth of
155 inches (3930 mm). The digging force is 6750 lb (3060 kg) for the
crowd cylinder, and 9735 lb (4415 kg) for the bucket cylinder. The
overall reach from swing pivot at ground line is 220 inches (5580 mm).
The backhoe is compatible with 12", 18", 24", 30", and 36" buckets.
