Massey Ferguson 230 Tractor
The
Massey Ferguson 230 utility tractor was manufactured by Massey Ferguson from 1976 to 1983. The
MF 230 can be equipped with a Perkins AD3.152 3-cylinder direct
injection diesel engine, or Continental Z145 4-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline
engine. The rated power of both motors is 38 Hp (28.3 kW).
The transmission consists of a dry single disc clutch and gearbox with 6
forward and 2 reverse gears. The max travel speed (forward or reverse):
14.5 mph (23.3 kph) / 7.4 mph (11.9 kph). The open center hydraulic
system used a gear pump with a rated flow of 4.5 gpm (17 lpm). The hydraulic system pressure is 3000 psi.
The Massey Ferguson 230 tractor fitted with 6.00x16 front tires
and 12.4x28 rear tires. The operating weight is 3840 lbs (1740 kg) for
gasoline models and 4000 lbs (1815 kg) for diesel models. The Massey
Ferguson 175 is equipped with MF 236 loader with a lifting capacity to
maximum height of 2500 lbs (1134 kg), and breakout force of 3250 lbs
(1474 kg).
