Massey Ferguson 50H Backhoe Loader
The
Massey Ferguson 50H backhoe loader was manufactured between 1987 and 1997. The
Massey Ferguson 50H powerline system components: Perkins A4.236 4-stroke
4-cylinder direct injection liquid-cooled naturally aspirated diesel engine, and
4x4 power shuttle transmission with single-stage torque converter. A 236 cu.in
(3.9 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.88" (98.6 mm), piston stroke of 5" (127
mm), rated power of 70 hp (52.2 kW), and max torque of 269 Nm (198 lb-ft) at
1500 rpm.
The max forward speed - 17.6 mph (28.3 kph), maximum reverse speed -
17.6 mph (28.3 kph). The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump
with a rated fluid flow of 29.5 gallons per minute (111.6 liters per
minute). The hydraulic pressure is 190 bar (2750 psi). The 2-wheel drive
models are equipped with 11Lx16 front tires and 16.9x28 rear tires. The
14.0x17.5 front tires and 19.5Lx24 rear tires are used for models with
4-wheel drive. The wheel base is 85.9" (2180 mm) for models with 2WD
(4x2), or 85.7" (2170 mm) for models with 4WD (4x4).
The loader has a max lift height of 165.5" (4200 mm) at pin and bucket
dump clearance of 108" (2740 mm). The lift capacity is 6017 lbs (2730
kg) at full height (pivot pin), and breakout force is 8838 lbs (4010
kg). The rated cycle times are 4 seconds raising to full height, and 1.1
second to full bucket dump. The 88" (2230 mm) bucket has a heaped
capacity of 31.5 cu.ft (0.9 m3).
The MF 425 backhoe operational data includes a bucket digging force of
9665 lbs (4385 kg) and dipperstick dig force of 6030 lbs (2735 kg). The
max digging depth is 168.5" (4265 mm), and overall reach from swing
pivot is 219.8" (5580 mm) at ground line. The backhoe can be equipped
with 16" (405 mm), 18" (455 mm), 24" (605 mm), 30" (760 mm), and 36"
(910 mm) buckets.
