Massey Ferguson 50C Backhoe Loader
The
Massey Ferguson 50C backhoe loader was manufactured between 1975 and 1980. The
Massey Ferguson 50C is equipped with a 236 cu.in (3.9L) Perkins A4.236
four-cylinder direct injection liquid-cooled diesel engine with a rated power of
67 hp (49.6 kW) and 241 Nm (178 lb-ft) of peak torque at 1400 rev/min. The MF
50C is fitted with 3 types of transmission. 1st type: 8x2 mechanical
transmission. 2nd type: 6x6 manual shuttle transmission. 3rd type: 4x4 power
shuttle transmission with single stage torque converter.
The max travel speed (forward/reverse): 20.5 mph (33 km/h) and 18.6 mph
(29.9 km/h). The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with a
flow of 26 gal/min (98.5 l/min). The main relief pressure is 138 bar
(2000 psi). The Massey Ferguson 50C backhoe loader is fitted with 11Lx16
or 12.5Lx16 front tyres and 16.9x24 or 19.5Lx24 rear tyres. The
wheelbase is 84" (2130 mm).
The MF 300A front end loader has a lifting capacity (at pivot pin) of
4700 lbs (2130 kg) to full height of 136" (3450 mm), and boom breakout
force of 8700 lbs (3945 kg). The bucket dump clearance with a 50-degree
maximum dump angle is 108" (2740 mm). The raising time is 2.5 sec from
ground line to max height, and bucket dump time is 2 seconds. The 86"
(2180 mm) standard material bucket has a rated capacity of 28 cu.ft (0.8
m3).
The MF 54A backhoe with extended stick has a bucket dig force of 9985
lbs (4530 kg), and dipper arm digging force of 6300 lbs (2855 kg). The
maximum digging depth is 223" (5660 mm), and a reach from swing pivot is
257" (6520 mm) at ground level. The backhoe is available with 16" (405
mm), 18" (455 mm), 24" (605 mm), 30" (760 mm), and 36" (910 mm) buckets.
