Ford 1520 Tractor Maintenance
The
Ford 1520 is a 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive compact utility tractor from
twenty compact series. This model was manufactured by Shibaura built between
1987 and 1998.
The Ford 1520 driveline includes a Shibaura J843 three-cylinder liquid
cooled diesel engine, and 9x3 gear transmission or 3-range hydrostatic
transmission. A 81.2 cu.in (1.32 L) engine output rating is 24 hp (17.9
kW) at 2500 rpm. Max. forward speed - 12.8 mph (20.6 kph), max. reverse
speed - 7.2 mph (11.6 kph).
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with a rated
capacity of 6.4 gpm (24.2 lpm). The main relief pressure is 147 bar
(2130 psi). The 4WD models are equipped with 6.00-14 or 25x8.5-14 front
tyres and 13.6-16 rear tyres. The 5.00-15 or 23x8.5-12 front tyres and
9.50-24 rear tyres fit 2WD tractors. The wheelbase is 63" (1600 mm).
The Ford 1520 tractor is compatible with the following attachments: a
60" mid-mount mower deck, 78" front-mount blade, 63" front-mount snow
blower, Ford 7108 front end loader, and Ford 757B backhoe.
