Ford 5640 Tractor
The
Ford 5640 is a two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive utility tractor from
PowerStar 40 series. This model was manufactured between 1991 and 1995. The Ford
5640 tractor is powered by 268 cu.in (4.4 L) Ford Genesis 4-stroke 4-cylinder
liquid-cooled diesel engine with a rated power of 75 hp (55 kW).
The Ford 5640 is fitted with four transmission options: 8x2 EconoShift
constant mesh transmission, 16x4 Dual Power two-speed powershift
transmission, 12x12 Synchro Shift synchronized transmission, or 16x16
Pulse Command four-speed powershift transmission.
The maximum forward speed - 19.2 mph (30.9 kph), max. reverse speed -
19.1 mph (30.7 kph). The hydraulic pump capacity is 9.6 (36.8) using
open center hydraulic system (S or SL models), and 20.8 (79.3) using
closed center load sensing hydraulic system (SLE models). The tractor
was equipped with a hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic wet disc
brakes, 7.50x16 front tires, and 16.9x30 rear tires. The wheelbase is
92.1" (2340 mm) for models with 2WD (4x2) and 93" (2362 mm) for models
with 4WD (4x4). The Ford 5640 is compatible with a Ford 7411 front end
loader with a maximum lift height of 134" (3400 mm) and lift capacity to
full height of 3050 lbs (1383 kg).
