Ford 6000 Commander
The
Ford 6000 Commander is a 2WD (4x2) row-crop tractor. This model was manufactured
from 1965 to 1967.
The Ford Commander 6000 driveline system components: a 241.7 cubic
inches (4 L) Ford 4-cycle 6-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine or 223
cubic inches (3.7 L) 6-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline engine, and Ford
Select-O-Speed full powershift transmission with 10 forward and 2
reverse gears. Max. forward speed - 19.9 mph (32 km/h), maximum reverse
speed - 4.9 mph (7.9 km/h).
The closed center hydraulic system used a gear pump with rated fluid
flow of 4.5 gal/min (17 l/min). The main relief pressure is 131 bar
(1900 psi). The Ford 6000 Commander was equipped with a power assist
steering system, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, 6.00x16 or
6.50x16 front tires, and 13.6x38 or 15.5x38 rear tires. The wheelbase is
95.5 in (2415 mm).
