International Harvester 666
The
International Harvester 666 was manufactured from 1972 to 1976. The IH 666
tractor is powered by International Harvester D312 six-cylinder direct injection
diesel engine with a rated power of 73 Hp (54.1 kW) or International Harvester
C291 six-cylinder water-cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of 72 Hp (53.3
kW).
The IH 666 is fitted with 3 types of transmission. Type 1: 5x1 sliding
gear transmission. Type 2: 10x2 Torque Amplifier two-speed power shift
transmission. Type 3: 2-range hydrostatic transmission with infinite
forward and reverse gears.
Max. forward speed - 21 mph (33.8 km/h), maximum reverse speed - 21 mph
(33.8 km/h). The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with a
rated capacity of 12 gpm (45.5 lpm). The main relief pressure is 172 bar
(2500 psi). The International Harvester 666 was equipped with a
hydrostatic power steering system, mechanical disc brakes, 7.50x16 front
tires, and 15.5x38 rear tires. The wheelbase is 103" (2610 mm).
