International Harvester 724
The
International Harvester 724 utility tractor was manufactured from 1969 to 1974.
The IH 724 tractor is powered by International Harvester D-239 4-stroke
4-cylinder direct injection naturally aspirated liquid-cooled diesel engine. A
238.7 cubic inches (3.9 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.87" (98 mm), piston
stroke of 5.06" (129 mm), rated power of 67 hp (50 kW), and max torque of 224 Nm
(165 lb-ft) at 1600 rpm.
The International Harvester 724 is fitted with two transmission options:
partially synchronized transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears,
and Agriomatic S partial powershift transmission with 12 forward and 4
reverse gears. The maximum travel speed (forward/reverse): 15.5 mph
(24.9 km/h) and 9.4 mph (15.1 km/h). The open center hydraulic system
includes a gear pump with a rated capacity of 7.5 gal/min (28.4 l/min).
The hydraulic pressure is 165 bar (2400 psi). The 2WD models are
equipped with 7.50x16 front tires and 13.6x38 rear tires. The 11.2x24
front tires and 13.6x38 rear tires are used for 4WD tractors. The
wheelbase is 83.5 inches (2110 mm).
