International Harvester 845 XL
The
International Harvester 845XL is a 2WD or 4WD farm tractor. This model was
manufactured from 1981 to 1985. The IH 845 XL tractor is equipped with a
International Harvester D-268 4-cylinder direct injection liquid-cooled diesel
engine.
A 268 cu.in (4.4 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.94" (100 mm), piston
stroke of 5.5" (140 mm), rated power of 80 hp (59.7 kW), and max. torque
of 296 Nm (218 lb-ft) at 1300 rpm. The IH Total-Synchron transmission
consists of a dry clutch and fully synchronized gearbox with 16 forward
and 8 reverse gears. The maximum forward speed - 18 mph (28.9 kph), max.
reverse speed - 10.8 mph (17.4 kph).
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with a flow of 7.9
gpm (30 lpm). The hydraulic pressure is 167 bar (2420 psi). The 2-wheel
drive models are equipped with 11.0x16 front tyres and 14.9x38 rear
tyres. The 12.4x24 front tyres and 14.9x38 rear tyres fit 4-wheel drive
tractors. The wheelbase is 94.1" (2390 mm) for models with 2WD and 92.8"
(2350 mm) for models with 4WD.
