International Harvester 884
The
International Harvester 884 is a 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive utility tractor
from 84-series. This model was manufactured between 1979 and 1984. The
components of International Harvester 884 powerline system: 268 cu.in (4.4L) IH
D268 4-stroke 4-cylinder direct injection liquid-cooled diesel engine and Torque
Amplifier 2-speed powershift transmission with 16 forward and 8 reverse gears.
The engine has a cylinder bore of 3.94" (100 mm), piston stroke of 5.50"
(140 mm), rated power of 81 hp (60 kW), and max torque of 296 Nm (218
lb-ft) at 1300 rpm. Max forward speed - 19.8 mph (31.8 km/h), maximum
reverse speed - 6.2 mph (9.9 km/h). The open center hydraulic system
used a gear pump with a flow of 15.4 gal/min (58.3 l/min). The rear lift
capacity is 3600 lbs (1630 kg).
The 2WD models are equipped with 7.50x18 front tires and 18.4x30 rear
tires. The 11.2x24 front tires and 18.4x30 rear tires are used for 4WD
tractors. The wheel base is 88" (2230 mm) for 2WD models, 85.2" (2160
mm) for 2WD models, and 84.5" (2140 mm) for row-crop models.
