International Harvester 955
The
International Harvester 955 is a two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive row crop
tractor. This model was manufactured from 1977 to 1982.
The International Harvester 955 driveline includes a 309.6 cu.in (5.1L)
IH D310 6-cylinder direct injection water-cooled diesel engine with a
rated power of 90 hp (66.7 kW), or 309.6 cu.in (5.1L) IH D358 6-cylinder
direct injection water-cooled diesel engine with a rated power of 94 hp
(69.5 kW), and Torque Amplifier transmission with 16 forward and 8
reverse gears.
Max forward speed - 18.3 mph (29.4 kph), max. reverse speed - 9 mph
(14.5 kph). The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with a
rated capacity of 9.5 gal/min (36 l/min). The hydraulic system pressure
is 167 bar (2420 psi). The 2WD models are equipped with 7.50x18 front
tyres and 18.4x34 rear tyres. The 12.4x28 front tyres and 18.4x34 rear
tyres fit 4WD tractors. The wheelbase is 102.5" (2590 mm) for 4x2 (2WD)
models and 103.5" (2620 mm) for 4x4 (4WD) models.
