John Deere 1050 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor. This model was
manufactured from 1980 to 1989. The John Deere 1050 is equipped with Yanmar
3T90-J four-stroke 3-cylinder direct injection water-cooled diesel engine with a
maximum power of 37 hp (27.6 kW), and sliding gear transmission with dry clutch
and 8x2 gearbox.
Max. travel speed (forward/reverse): 12.5 mph (20.1 km/h) and 5.7 mph
(9.2 km/h). The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with a
rated fluid flow of 7.5 gpm (28.4 lpm). The hydraulic pressure is 2030
psi (140 bar).
The JD 1050 was equipped with a manual steering system, differential
mechanical internal expanding shoe brakes, 6.00x16 front tires, and
13.6x28 rear tires. The wheel base is 68.9" (1750 mm). Compatible
attachments for the tractor: a 72" mid-mount 3-blade mower deck, 72"
front-mount blade, John Deere 80 loader with a maximum lift height of
93.5" (2370 mm), and John Deere 8A backhoe with 2-ft flat digging depth
of 102" (2590 mm).
