John Deere 1070 compact utility tractor was manufactured from 1989 to 1998. The
John Deere 1070 driveline system components: Yanmar 4TN84 4-cycle 4-cylinder
direct injection liquid-cooled diesel engine and partially synchronized
transmission with 9 forward and 2 reverse gears.
A 116.3 cu.in (1.9 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.31" (84 mm),
piston stroke of 3.39" (86 mm), and rated power of 38.5 hp (28.7 kW).
The maximum travel speed (forward/reverse): 12.3 mph (19.8 kph) and 4.8
mph (7.7 kph). The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump
with a flow rate of 9 gal/min (34.2 l/min).
The main relief pressure is 155 bar (2250 psi). The 2-wheel drive models
are equipped with 6.00x16 front tyres and 13.6x24 rear tyres. The
8.00x16 or 27x8.50-15 front tyres and 13.6x28 or 44x18.00-20 rear tyres
fit 4-wheel drive tractors. The wheelbase is 68.9 in (1750 mm).
The John Deere 1070 tractor is compatible with the following
attachments: a 72.8" mid-mount 3-blade mower deck with cutting height of
1.5-8.6 in (38-215 mm) and hydraulic lift system, 84" front-mount blade
with lifting height of 12 in (305 mm), John Deere 80 loader with lift
capacity to full height of 1175 lbs (532 kg), and John Deere 8A backhoe
with 2-ft flat digging depth of 102" (2590 mm).
