John Deere 3640 is a 4-wheel drive utility tractor. This model was manufactured
between 1984 and 1987. The John Deere 3640 tractor is equipped with a 359 cubic
inches JD 6359D 4-cycle 6-cylinder direct injection liquid cooled diesel engine
rated at 117 hp (87.2 kW).
The maximum torque is 393 Nm (290 lb-ft) at 1400 rpm. The Power Synchron
transmission consists of a hydraulic clutch with a cerametallic dry disc
and partial power shift gearbox with 16 forward and 8 reverse speeds.
The maximum forward speed - 19 mph (30.6 km/h), max. reverse speed - 8.5
mph (13.7 km/h).
The closed center constant pressure hydraulic system used a piston pump
with a flow rate of 11.9 gpm (44 lpm). The hydraulic system pressure is
