John Deere 5020 Troubleshooting

The John Deere 5020 is a two-wheel drive standard-tread tractor from New Generation series. This model was manufactured between 1965 and 1972. The John Deere 5020 tractor is equipped with John Deere 4-cycle six-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine.

A 531 cubic inches (8.7 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 4.75" (121 mm), piston stroke of 5.0" (127 mm), and rated power of 148 hp (109.6 kW). The Syncro-Range transmission consists of a dry clutch and partially synchronized gearbox with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears.

The maximum travel speed (forward/reverse): 17.9 mph (28.8 km/h) and 5.4 mph (8.7 km/h). The closed center hydraulic system used a gear pump with a flow rate of 22 gal/min (83.3 l/min). The main relief pressure is 155 bar (2250 psi). The John Deere 5020 was equipped with a power steering system, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, 11.0x16 (Standard) or 9.5x20 (Row-Crop) front tires, and 24.5x32 (Standard) or 18.4x38 (Row-Crop) rear tires. The wheel base is 104 inches (2640 mm).
