Kubota B5100 Maintenance
The
Kubota B5100 is a two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive sub-compact utility
tractor. This model was manufactured between 1978 and 1984. The tractor was
designed in 2 versions: B5100E (2WD) and B5100DT (4WD).
The Kubota B5100 is equipped with a 31 cu.in (0.5L) Kubota Z500-1A
4-cycle 2-cylinder liquid-cooled naturally aspirated diesel engine. The
engine has a cylinder bore of 2.63" (67 mm), piston stroke of 2.76" (70
mm), maximum power of 12 hp (8.9 kW), and 28.1 Nm (20.7 lb-ft) of max
torque at 1800 rpm.
The mechanical transmission consists of a dry clutch and unsynchronized
gearbox with six forward and two reverse gears. The maximum forward
speed - 8 mph (12.8 km/h), maximum reverse speed - 4 mph (6.4 km/h). The
Kubota B5100 was equipped with a ball screw type manual steering,
differential mechanical shoe brakes, 4.00x9 (2WD) or 4.50x10 (4WD) front
tires, and 7.00x16 rear tires. The wheelbase is 46.6 in (1180 mm).
