The Mahindra 2015 tractor is powered by Mitsubishi S3L 4-cycle 3-cylinder vertical overhead valve liquid-cooled diesel engine. A 68.75 cubic inches (1.13 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.07" (78 mm), piston stroke of 3.09" (78.5 mm), and rated power of 20 hp (14.9 kW). The Mahindra 2015 is fitted with a two transmission options: 6x2 constant mesh transmission, or 2-range hydrostatic transmission. The maximum forward speed - 10 mph (16 km/h), maximum reverse speed - 5 mph (8 km/h).

The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with rated fluid flow of 5.8 gal/min (22 l/min). The main relief pressure is 147 bar (2133 psi). The tractor is equipped with a hydrostatic power steering system, dry shoe brakes, 7.00x15 front tyres, and 9.50x16 rear tyres. The wheelbase is 58 inches (1470 mm). The tractor is compatible with Mahindra ML104 front end-loader with a maximum lift height of 76.5" (1940 mm) and lift capacity to maximum height of 915 lbs (415 kg).
