Mahindra 5035 Troubleshooting
The Mahindra 5035 is a 4WD compact utility tractor from 35 Series. This model was manufactured from 2010 to 2021. The Mahindra 5035 tractor is powered by 153.7 cu.in (2.5 L) CE-50 4-cycle 4-cylinder direct injection naturally aspirated diesel engine with a rated power of 49.5 Hp (37 kW). The Mahindra 5035 is fitted with a two transmission options: full synchromesh transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears, or hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears.
The maximum travel speed (forward/reverse): 15.9 mph (25.5 km/h) and 15.8 mph (25.3 km/h). The open center hydraulic system has a gear pump with a rated capacity of 11 gpm (41.6 lpm). The hydraulic system pressure is 203 bar (2950 psi). The tractors are equipped with 9.50x20 front tires and 16.9x24 rear tires. The wheelbase is 75" (1900 mm). Compatible attachments for the tractor: Mahindra ML130 front end-loader with a maximum lift height of 111.5" (2830 mm), and Mahindra 595 backhoe with maximum digging depth of 115" (2920 mm).

Engine stalls while idle |
Too low idle RPM - Adjustment required.
Fuel injection pump is broken - Rebuild or replace pump.
Damaged or clogged injectors - Replace or clean fuel injectors.
Improper valve clearance - Correct valve clearance.
Loss of engine power |
Dirty air cleaner - Install new air filter element.
Defective or clogged injection nozzle - Install a new kit of correctly balanced nozzles.
Incorrect fuel injection pressure - Adjust pressure to proper level.
Valve clearance is not correct - Check and adjust as required.
Low idle speed adjustment is incorrect - Adjust the low idle speed.
Fuel hoses or lines are clogged - Clean fuel lines and hoses.
Cylinder head gasket defective - Install a new gasket.
Leaking or defective piston rings - Change piston rings.
Engine is overheated |
Not enough coolant - Top up coolant fluid and check system for leaks.
Engine oil level low - Fill up the engine oil.
Dirty radiator core or defective radiator cap - Clean radiator or replace cap.
