Massey Ferguson 235 Tractor
The
Massey Ferguson 235 is a two-wheel drive utility tractor from 200 series. This
model was manufactured between 1975 and 1976. The tractor was designed in 2
versions: orchard (low profile) and vineyard (narrow low profile).
The Massey Ferguson 235 is powered by 152 cu.in (2.5L) Perkins AD3.152
4-Stroke 3-cylinder direct injection naturally aspirated diesel engine
with a rated power of 45.5 hp (33.9 kW), or 145 cu.in (2.4L) Continental
Z145 4-Stroke 4-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline engine with a rated
power of 46 hp (34.1 kW).
The Massey Ferguson 235 is fitted with 3 types of transmission. 1st
type: mechanical transmission with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears. 2nd
type: mechanical transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears. 3rd
type: Multi Power partial powershift transmission with 12 forward and 4
reverse gears. The maximum travel speed (forward and reverse): 22.3 mph
(35.9 km/h) / 11.3 mph (18.1 km/h).
The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with fluid flow rate
of 10 gpm (38 lpm). The hydraulic pressure is 159 bar (2300 psi). The
Massey Ferguson 235 was equipped with a manual or power steering,
differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes, 6.00x16 or 7.50x16 front
tires, and 12.4x28 or 13.6x28 rear tires. The wheelbase is 74.5 in (1890
mm).
