Massey Ferguson 255 Tractor
The
Massey Ferguson 255 is a 200-series two-wheel drive row crop tractor. This model
was manufactured from 1975 to 1981. The Massey Ferguson 255 tractor is powered
by Perkins AD4.203 4-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine with a maximum power
of 45 hp (33.5 kW), or Perkins AG4.212 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum
power of 44 hp (32.6 kW).
The Massey Ferguson 255 is fitted with 2 types of transmission. 1st
type: 8-speed gear transmission. 2nd type: Multi power partial power
shift transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears.
The maximum travel speed (forward/reverse) is 18.6 mph (30 km/h) and 9.4
mph (15.1 km/h). The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump
with a rated fluid flow of 10 gpm (38 lpm). The hydraulic system
pressure is 2300 psi (159 bar). The row crop tractors are equipped with
5.50x16 front tyres and 14.9x38 rear tyres. The 6.00x16 front tyres and
16.9x24 rear tyres fit standard models. The wheel base is 82" (2080 mm).
The tractor is compatible with Massey Ferguson 236 front end loader. The
loader has a lift capacity to full height of 2500 lbs (1135 kg).
