Massey Ferguson 6170 row crop tractor was manufactured between 1995 and 1998.
The Massey Ferguson 6170 tractor is powered by 365 cu.in (6L) Perkins 1006.6
six-cylinder direct injection liquid-cooled diesel engine with a rated power of
109.4 hp (81 kW) and 440 Nm (326 lb-ft) of max torque at 1200 rpm.
The Massey Ferguson 6170 is fitted with a two transmission options:
16x16 speedshift two-speed powershift transmission and 32x32 dynashift
four-speed powershift transmission. Max forward speed - 23.3 mph (37.4
km/h), maximum reverse speed - 23.3 mph (37.4 km/h).
The open center hydraulic system used a two-stage gear pump with rated
fluid flow of 15 gal/min (57 l/min). The closed center hydraulic system
used a variable displacement pump with rated fluid flow of 27.7 gal/min
(105 l/min). The main relief pressure is 185 bar (2680 psi) using open
center, or 200 bar (2900 psi) using closed center. The Massey Ferguson
6170 was equipped with a hydrostatic steering system, hydraulic disc
brakes, 10.0x16 (2WD) or 380/70R24 (4WD) front tires, and 18.4R34 (2WD)
or 480/70R34 (4WD) rear tires. The wheelbase is 106.1" (2695 mm) for 2WD
models and 106.3" (2700 mm) for 4WD models.
