Case IH 885 Troubleshooting

The Case IH 885 utility tractor was manufactured between 1985 and 1990. The Case IH 885 tractor is powered by Case International D268 4-cylinder direct injection diesel engine.

A 268 cubic inches (4.4 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.94" (100 mm), piston stroke of 5.5" (139.7 mm), and rated power of 79 hp (58.9 kW). The Case IH 885 is fitted with a 3 transmission options: 8x4 synchronized transmission, 16x8 partial powershift transmission, or 8x4 shuttle transmission. The maximum forward speed - 22.4 mph (36 km/h), maximum reverse speed - 10.8 mph (17.4 km/h).

The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with rated fluid flow of 15.8 gal/min (59.8 l/min). The main relief pressure is 173 bar (2500 psi). The tractor is equipped with a hydrostatic power steering, independent hydraulic wet brakes, 7.50-18 (2WD) or 11.2-24 (4WD) front tyres, and 18.4-30 rear tyres. The wheelbase is 88" (2230 mm) for two-wheel drive tractors and 85.2" (2160 mm) for four-wheel drive tractors.
