Ford 2120 Tractor Maintenance
The
Ford 2120 compact utility tractor was manufactured by Shibaura built from 1987
to 1991. The Ford 2120 driveline system components: Shibaura T854 four-cylinder
water cooled diesel engine and 12x12 hydraulic shuttle shift transmission (HSS),
or unsynchronized gear transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears.
A 138.4 cubic inches (2.27 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.35" (85
mm), piston stroke of 3.94" (100 mm), and rated power of 42.6 hp (31.8
kW). Max. forward speed - 15 mph (24.2 km/h), maximum reverse speed - 14
mph (22.4 km/h).
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with rated fluid
flow of 9.3 (35.2) liters per minute. The main relief pressure is 2130
psi (147 bar). The 2-wheel drive models are equipped with 6.00x16 (AG)
or 25x8.50-14 (Turf) front tires and 13.6x28 (AG) or 14.9x26 (Turf) rear
tires. The 8.00x18 (AG) or 27x8.50-15 (Turf) front tires and 13.6x28
(AG) or 18.4x16.1 (Turf) rear tires are used for tractors with 4-wheel
drive. The wheel base is 74.8 inches (1890 mm). Compatible attachments
for the Ford 2120 tractor: a 84" front-mount blade, Ford 758B backhoe,
and Ford 7109 front end loader with lift capacity to maximum height of
1800 lbs (816 kg).
