Ford 4600 Tractor Troubleshooting
The
Ford 4600 is a 2WD (4x2) utility tractor. This model was manufactured from 1975
to 1984. The Ford 4600 powertrain system components: Ford vertical three-cylinder
water cooled diesel engine, and 8-speed Dual Range transmission. A 201 cubic inches
engine power is 59.5 Hp (44.5 kW), and max. torque is 213 Nm (157 lb-ft) at 1200
rpm.
Max. travel speed (forward/reverse): 15.0 mph (24.1 km/h) and 7.2 mph
(11.6 km/h). The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with
fluid flow rate of 8.5 gpm (32.2 liters per minute). The hydraulic pressure
is 2500 psi (173 bar).
The tractor is fitted with 7.5x16 front tires and 16.9x30 rear tires. The
wheelbase is 84.5 inches (2140 mm), and operating weight is 5880 lbs
(2670 kg).
