Ford 5000 Tractor Troubleshooting

The Ford 5000 is a two-wheel drive row-crop tractor. This model was manufactured between 1965 and 1976. The Ford 5000 driveline consists of a Ford 4-cyl. diesel or gasoline engine, and 8x2 sliding gear or 10x2 full powershift transmission.

A 3.8 cubic inches diesel engine power is 69 hp (51.5 kW) and max. torque is 182 ft-lb (247 Nm) at 1400 rev/min. Max. forward speed - 16.8 mph (27 km/h), max. reverse speed - 8.1 kph (13 km/h).

The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with a flow of 6.0 gpm (22.7 lpm). The hydraulic pressure is 2500 psi (173 bar). The rear tire size: 12.4x38, and front tire size: 7.5x16. The wheelbase is 87.5 in (2220 mm) for standard models, and 96 in (2430 mm) for row-crop models.
