John Deere 2955 is a 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive utility tractor from 55
Utility series. This model was manufactured between 1987 and 1992. The John
Deere 2955 tractor is powered by John Deere CD6359D four-cycle six-cylinder
direct injection naturally aspirated liquid cooled diesel engine.
A 359 cubic inches (5.9 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 4.19" (106 mm),
piston stroke of 4.33" (110 mm), and rated power of 97 hp (72.3 kW). The
John Deere 2955 was fitted with two transmission options: top-shaft
synchronized transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears, or
top-shaft synchronized partial powershift transmission with 16 forward
and 8 reverse gears. Max travel speed (forward/reverse): 18.5 mph (29.8
km/h) and 8 mph (12.9 km/h). The closed center hydraulic system includes
