John Deere 3020 Maintenance
The
John Deere 3020 is a New Generation series row crop tractor. This model was
manufactured from 1964 to 1972. The JD 3020 tractor is powered by 270 cubic
inches (4.4 L) John Deere 4-cylinder water cooled diesel engine with a rated
power of 77 hp (57 kW), or 227 cubic inches (3.7 L) John Deere 4-cylinder water
cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of 76 hp (56.3 kW).
The John Deere 3020 was fitted with 2 types of transmission. Type 1: 8x2
syncro-range partially synchronized transmission. Type 2: Powershift
transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears.
The maximum forward speed - 19.5 mph (31.4 km/h), max. reverse speed -
6.2 mph (10 km/h). The closed center hydraulic system includes a gear
pump with rated capacity of 14 gpm (53 lpm). The hydraulic system
pressure is 145 bar (2100 psi). The tractor was equipped with 6.00x16 or
7.50x15 front tires and 13.6x38 or 15.5x38 rear tires. The wheelbase is
90" (2280 mm).
The John Deere 3020 is compatible with JD 48 loader with a liftting
capacity to full height of 2400 lbs (1088 kg), or
JD 148 loader with a
lifting capacity to full height of 3100 lbs (1406 kg).
