Ford 1710 Tractor Maintenance
The
Ford 1710 Ten compact series compact utility tractor was manufactured from 1983
to 1986. The Ford 1710 powerline components: Shibaura H843 three-cylinder liquid
cooled diesel engine and unsynchronized transmission with 12 forward and 4
reverse gears, or 12x4 partially synchronized gear transmission.
A 85.2 cubic inches (1.4 L) engine has a cylinder bore of 3.31" (84 mm),
piston stroke of 3.31" (84 mm), and rated power of 26 hp (19.4 kW). The
maximum travel speed is 12.5 mph (forward) and 8.7 mph (reverse). The
open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with a flow rate of
7.8 gal/min (29.5 l/min).
The hydraulic system pressure is 2135 psi (147 bar). The 4WD models are
equipped with 6.00x16 (standard) or 27x8.50-15 (turf) front tires and
11.2x24 (standard) or 13.6x16 (turf) rear tires. The 5.00x15 front tires
and 11.2x24 rear tires are used for 2WD tractors. The wheelbase is 63"
(1600 mm). The 1710 tractor is compatible with a mid-mount Ford 915
mower deck, rear-mount Ford 715 snowblower, and
Ford 770A front end
loader.
