John Deere 4010 Tractor
The
John Deere 4010 is a New Generation series row crop tractor. This model was
manufactured from 1960 to 1963. The JD 4010 tractor is equipped with a 380 cubic
inches (6.2 L) John Deere 4 cycle 6-cylinder water-cooled naturally aspirated
diesel engine, or 302 cubic inches (4.9 L) John Deere 4 cycle 6-cylinder
gasoline engine.
The diesel engine has a cylinder bore of 4.15" (105 mm), piston stroke
of 4.78" (121 mm), and rated power of 88 hp (65.2 kW). The gasoline
engine has a cylinder bore of 4.03" (102 mm), piston stroke of 4.03"
(102 mm), and rated power of 87 hp (64.4 kW).
The Syncro Range transmission includes a dry clutch and partially
synchronized gearbox with 8 forward and 3 reverse gears. Max. forward
speed - 14.3 mph (22.9 km/h), maximum reverse speed - 8.5 mph (13.7
km/h). The closed center hydraulic system used a pump with fluid flow
rate of 13 gal/min (49.2 l/min). The hydraulic pressure is 2320 psi (160
bar). The John Deere 4010 was equipped with a power assist steering,
differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, 6.00x16 front tires, and 13.6x38
rear tires. The wheelbase is 99.3 inches (2520 mm).
