John Deere 4440 Maintenance
The
John Deere 4440 is an Iron horses series row crop tractor. This model was
manufactured from 1978 to 1982. The components of JD 4440 powerline system: John
Deere 6466T 4-stroke six-cylinder direct injection turbocharged diesel engine,
and 16x6 Quad range partial powershift transmission or full powershift
transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears.
A 466 cu.in (7.6 L) engine output is 154 hp (115.1 kw), and maximum
torque is 642 Nm (475 lb-ft) at 1500 rpm. The maximum forward speed -
18.6 mph (29.9 kph), max. reverse speed - 10.7 mph (17.2 kph).
The closed center hydraulic system includes a piston pump with a rated
capacity of 23 gal/min (87.2 l/min). The hydraulic system pressure is
155 bar (2250 psi). The 2WD models are equipped with 11.0x16 front tires
and 18.4x34 rear tires. The 14Lx16.1 front tires and 23.1x34 rear tires
are used for 4WD tractors. The wheel base is 106.7" (2710 mm).
