Ford 2600 Tractor Maintenance
The
Ford 2600 is a two-wheel drive utility tractor. This model was manufactured from
1975 to 1981. The Ford 2600 tractor is powered by Ford vertical 3-cylinder water
cooled diesel engine with a maximum power of 36 Hp (26.2 kW), or Ford 3-cylinder
gasoline engine with a max power of 35.5 Hp (26.5 kW).
The Ford 2600 was fitted with 2 transmission options: 6x2 unsynchronized
gear transmission or Dual-Range transmission with 8 forward and 2
reverse gears. Max. travel speed (forward/reverse): 17.4 mph (28 km/h)
and 8.4 mph (13.5 km/h).
The open center hydraulic system used a gear pump with a rated fluid
flow of 8.5 gpm (32.1 lpm). The hydraulic system pressure is 173 bar
(2500 psi). The tractor is equipped with 5.50x16 front tyres and 12.4x28
rear tyres. The wheelbase is 75.8" (1920 mm). The Ford 2600 is
compatible with the following attachments:
Ford 730 loader with lift
capacity to full height of 2040 lbs (925 kg), and
Ford 772A loader with
lift capacity to full height of 2460 lbs (1115 kg).
